The PADI referral system gives you a variety of options to commence or complete your diving education. If you would like to start you PADI open water certification and do the open water training dives elsewhere, then this is the option for you.

The two land based days are spent learning the theory and underwater skills of diving. At the end of day two you will be given referral papers that will allow you to continue your PADI course at your next destination.

You are also invited to attend "Reef Teach a fun and informative marine biology presentation that will greatly enhance your understanding of the Great Barrier Reef and its inhabitants.

2 Day Pool Referral CourseInclusions - On land

  • 2 x passport photos needed for certification
  • All stationary requirements needed for classroom activities.
  • Comprehensive dive insurance
  • PADI referral papers
  • Accommodation transfers daily (city and Northern Beaches)
  • "Reef Teach" Marine Biology presentation
  • All dive equipment (use of prescription mask if necessary)
  • PADI Open Water Manual in English, German, French, Dutch, Danish or Swedish. If another language is required we have Chinese, Korean, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Portuguese, and Spanish for loan.
  • Log Book

Extras

  • An AS4005.1 Dive Medical is required. Some medical conditions may preclude you from diving. Asthma, diabetes, epilepsy and pregnancy are the most common ones encountered. Children must be accompanied by parent or guardian during the medical assessment. A Dive Medical will be arranged by Pro Dive on day 1 of your course - a fee of A$49.50 (inc GST) payable direct to the doctor. Australian Medical Standards are different to those overseas. A medical obtained in another country will most likley not be valid in Australia.

Requirements

  • Ability to swim
  • Minimum age is 12 years. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by parent or adult over the age of 18 years.

Booking Procedure

You are strongly advised to pre-book your course as availability may be limited if you wait until your arrival to Cairns. You can pre-book and confirm your place on a course by faxing or emailing us with your preferred commencement date, and your credit card number and expiry date. Once your booking is complete we will send you confirmation by fax or email.

If you can also advise us of your accommodation in Cairns we can give you your pick up time, however if you unsure of your accommodation details you can contact us on arrival into Cairns and advise us then.

Cancellation

  • Course fees paid to PRO DIVE CAIRNS are fully refundable up to the end of day 1 of your Pool Referral for any reason.
