The PADI referral system gives you a variety of options to complete your diving education. The two day referral program is the course you undertake to complete your open water certification if you have completed you pool and school training elsewhere.

Our 2 day ocean referral includes 2 days on a fast and modern day boat completing the 4 training days required for certification. The day trips are on one of TUSA Dive's vessels and they have a roving permit which means they can visit up to 21 dive sites on a variety of southern and northern reefs. The site selected on the day is chosen for its premium conditions over every other site available. All sites boast extravagance of marine life and excellent visibility thus ensuring you see the best the outer Great Barrier Reef has to offer.

Inclusions

• Courtesy coach transfers from Cairns and Northern Beaches

• PADI Open Water Certificate

• Fast transfer to the two Outer Reef
• 2 days of diving on the Great Barrier Reef
• Five hours on the reef to dive, relax and snorkel

• All dive equipment (including Dive Computer)
• Use of prescription mask if necessary

Extras

• An AS4005.1 Dive Medical is required. Some medical conditions may preclude you from diving. Asthma, diabetes, epilepsy and pregnancy are the most common ones encountered. Children must be accompanied by parent or guardian during the medical assessment. A Dive Medical must be arranged prior to departure - a fee of A$49.50 (inc GST) payable direct to the doctor. Australian Medical Standards are different to those overseas. A medical obtained in another country will most likley not be valid in Australia.
  
• Non PADI referrals - If you have completed your pool and school training with another training agency (not PADI) you will need to have to do a 'crossover'. This involves a day in the pool and classroom and will take you one day.
• Reef Tax at $5 per person per day.
• Drinks and chocolates from the on board bar
• Underwater cameras are available for hire, cost is $55.00 which includes film

Requirements

• Current PADI Open Water referral documentation
• Minimum age is 12 years subject to a medical assessment as per AS4005.1. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by parent or adult over the age of 18 years.

Important: It is in the best interest of a referral participant if they could come to our shop the day before departure to ensure that all referral papers are valid and in order.

Please Note: In the interest of safety we recommend that you do not fly until the day following your last dive. All prices are in Australian Dollars.

Booking Procedure

You are strongly advised to pre-book your course as availability may be limited if you wait until your arrival to Cairns. You can pre-book and confirm your place on a course by faxing or emailing us with your preferred commencement date, and your credit card number and expiry date. Once your booking is complete we will send you confirmation by fax or email.

If you can also advise us of your accommodation in Cairns we can give you your pick up time, however if you unsure of your accommodation details you can contact us on arrival into Cairns and advise us then.

Cancellation

• Fees refundable unless cancellation less than 24 hours prior to trip departure
